Seriously. I'm not even kidding. It is now possible to go past the speed of light without distintigrating or traveling into the future or past. That is, you can go faster than frozen light particles. But light nonetheless. German scientists at the Technische Universität Darmstadtadt successfully froze light for one minute. They fired a control laser through a crystal containing praseodymium ions. Then, a second laser was fired, and at the exact moment the laser hit the crystal, the first control laser was turned off. light in the crystal from the control laser was brought to a halt and the second laser froze the light.
So, if you want to shorten all that up, you can say that it is possible to freeze light if you have a couple expensive lasers and a special crystal.
